The Canon Library

A book-first guide

About The Canon Library

The Canon Library is a global great-books discovery, reference, and reading platform. It helps readers explore, understand, track, and choose editions of influential works from major literary and intellectual traditions.

Begin with the Western Canon

The current library focuses on approximately 1,200 works in The Western Canon. It is the first and most developed collection, not the permanent boundary of the platform. Future collections will remain distinct and will be published only when they have meaningful editorial depth.

A continuously evolving guide

The Canon Library does not claim to define a single final canon. Its selections are curated, practical, continuously reviewed, and based on durable historical, literary, cultural, and intellectual influence.
